Hatch, a full-service consultancy, is currently seeking a highly motivated Process
Engineering Student to join the Industrial Clean Tech practice in Trail, British Columbia for the Fall 2025 term, with an 8- or 12-month term available.

Air pollution control and gas handling is a key component of all modern industrial facilities. Hatch’s Industrial Clean Tech practice comprised of over 60 engineering specialists with multiple decades of experience in air pollution control and gas handling systems focusing on responding to our clients’ needs with respect to environmental compliance and workplace hygiene to ensure their plant’s full productivity potential.

As the successful candidate, you will:
• Perform mass and energy balances and prepare process flow diagrams.
• Perform on-site measurements.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team, with focus on assisting Industrial Clean Technology projects.
• Actively participate in preparing technical calculations, reports, specifications, and datasheets
• Data analysis and computer modeling.
• Meetings and collaboration with client teams.

You bring to the role:
• Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited University.
• Interest in industrial applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, P&IDs and mechanical drawings.

What you will learn
:
• Exposure to working in project-based environment.
• Technical concepts and calculations.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
• The process of developing engineering design from concept to construction, the importance of technical documents.
