Job Description

The Implementation Consultant - Carbon Accounting at Workiva will support clients in their sustainability efforts by providing expertise in sustainability practices and the Workiva platform. Responsibilities include advising on greenhouse gas emissions calculations, developing emission reduction programs, and ensuring client success with software implementation. Candidates should have a degree and 4 years of relevant experience. The role allows for remote work with some travel required.
Implementation Consultant - Carbon Accounting As a Implementation Consultant - Carbon Accounting at Workiva, you will be a key partner in supporting clients' sustainability journeys.
Your expertise in sustainability best practices and the Workiva platform will enable you to provide exceptional service and deliver high-quality sustainability reporting and consulting services.
You will guide clients of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to smaller organizations, through the implementation of our software to help them achieve their sustainability goals.


What You'll Do Advise clients on establishing effective programs to calculate Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) Support clients in developing emission reduction programs that align with major frameworks and standards (CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS, ASRS, ESRS) Serve as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance to clients throughout their sustainability journey Champion client success by implementing Workiva's solutions and ensuring projects meet scope, deadlines, and client objectives.
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment, sharing knowledge through training materials and potentially delivering training sessions Uphold Workiva's high standards by providing exceptional service and promptly addressing client needs Support presales by demonstrating product features, benefits, and tailored solutions to potential customers.
What You'll Need Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Minimum of 4 years experience in software implementation, with a specific focus on sustainability.
Strong understanding of sustainability practices, including carbon emissions accounting (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in environmental impact accounting beyond emissions (e.g., product life cycle analysis, water footprinting) Experience developing and verifying corporate GHG inventories.
Knowledge of science-based target setting (SBTi) Experience with consulting and a proven track record of delivering results for external clients Proven project management skills with the ability to stay on track and meet deadlines Expertise in data analysis and creating compelling data visualizations Experience configuring software solutions.
Proficiency in financial analysis Fluency in data tools beyond Excel (R, Tableau, Power BI) Travel Requirements And Working Conditions Up to 25% Travel for customer and internal meetings Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office Workiva is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
