We’re looking for a Hydrogeology Lead to grow and lead our Hydrogeology capability globally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing technical excellence, team leadership, and business growth.

What you’ll do

You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering hydrogeological services, including:

? Leading and managing hydrogeological projects (groundwater studies, dewatering, monitoring, modelling)

? Interpreting field and historical data to develop conceptual and numerical groundwater models

? Overseeing field investigations and monitoring programmes

? Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across environmental and mining projects

? Engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders

? Ensuring delivery of high-quality, compliant, and practical solutions
• *Beyond project work, you will:**

? Lead, mentor and grow a team of hydrogeologists

? Drive service development and innovation within the department

? Contribute to business development, proposals, and key client relationships

? Manage budgets, resources, and departmental performance

What we’re looking for

You’re someone who enjoys leading from the front, technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about developing people.

? Postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology / Water Science (or similar)

? ±8+ years’ experience in hydrogeology, including consulting

? Strong experience in mining-related hydrogeology

? Proven leadership experience managing teams

Experience with groundwater modelling and investigations

? Registration with a professional body (e.g. SACNASP)
