Hydrogeologist

SC&A is hiring a Hydrogeologist in Honolulu, HI, to conduct remedial investigations and groundwater monitoring. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in hydrology, hydrogeology, or geology, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include groundwater sampling, risk assessment, and developing reports. Excellent communication skills are essential. The position is full-time and requires passing a background screening.

Our background, as it relates to this position, includes remediation support, water supply assessments, environmental assessments, and compliance assessments.
Job Summary

We are seeking a Hydrogeologist to join a team of professionals dedicated to performing remedial investigations including groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling, other water/media sampling.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Applicant must possess at least a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, in the field of hydrology, hydrogeology, or geology.
• Applicant must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in hydrogeology
• Experience should also broadly include groundwater hydrology field application, site remediation, risk assessment, water quality monitoring and environmental clean-up technology
• The experience should include aspects of groundwater sampling, artificial recharge applications, an understanding of solute transport modelling and an understanding of RCRA and CERCLA regulations.
• The applicant must have an understanding of the sampling methods in environmental media, surface water, groundwater, sediment and soil.
• Applicant must have a demonstrated ability to develop effective and concise reports and presentations (verbal and written) that are understandable to a senior management audience.
The position requires an individual with excellent oral and written communications skills, and a proven ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment and with changing schedules
