Ecojustice is seeking a Staff Lawyer for Environmental Advocacy in Halifax, NS, Canada, in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on supporting environmental litigation and case development, ideal for early career lawyers passionate about high-impact work. Responsibilities include managing case files, conducting research, and collaborating on communication initiatives. A Juris Doctor (JD) is required, with a preference for experience in environmental or Indigenous law.

This role is ideal for an early career lawyer passionate about advancing high-impact environmental work. Key responsibilities involve supporting litigation, researching critical laws, and enhancing stakeholder partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work on provincial and federal court litigation
• Participate in research and case development
• Contribute to law reform and team projects
• Manage case files, ensuring thorough organization
• Collaborate on communication initiatives
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) required
• Good standing with Law Society or pending eligibility
• Strong research and investigation skills
• Experience in environmental or Indigenous law preferred
• Ability to explain complex legal information clearly
