Job Summary:
As an Experienced HVAC Sales Technician, you will play a key role in driving our HVAC sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing expert technical guidance on HVAC products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent communication and sales skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
• Drive sales by identifying customer needs, recommending HVAC solutions, and closing deals.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Conduct site visits to assess client needs, provide cost estimates, and explain HVAC system options.
• Collaborate with the service and installation teams to ensure accurate proposals and customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new HVAC technologies, and competitive products.
• Technical Expertise & Support:
• Offer technical expertise and advice to customers, ensuring the best HVAC solutions for their needs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues as needed, providing expert recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Provide clear, accurate explanations of system operations, energy efficiency options, and maintenance requirements.
• Educate customers on the benefits and advantages of modern HVAC technologies, including energy-saving solutions and eco-friendly options.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Follow up with customers after service or installation to ensure satisfaction and generate repeat business.
• Manage and nurture a client portfolio, fostering trust and loyalty through excellent service and communication.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for clients with existing HVAC systems.
• Sales Administration & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and job progress in CRM software.
• Prepare and submit proposals, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals and metrics.
Qualifications:
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC sales or as an HVAC technician with a focus on sales.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, installation, and maintenance practices.
• Proven track record of sales success, ideally in the residential and commercial HVAC market.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Exceptional sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in using CRM software, MS Office, and sales tools.
• Licenses/Certifications:
• EPA 608 Certification (Required).
• NATE Certification ().
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
