Spearmint Energy is seeking an HSE, Security & Risk Manager in Eden Prairie, MN. The role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies focusing on cybersecurity, health, and safety across the company's operations, particularly battery energy storage systems. What You Will Do

The HSE, Security & Risk Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies that cover cybersecurity, operational, and environmental. This role will ensure that risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated across all aspects of the company's operations, with particular focus on BESS project sites and corporate systems. The successful candidate will work to build a risk-aware culture and support the company's long-term success. In addition to the core responsibilities listed below, all members of the Commercial Operations team are expected to participate in a rotating team responsible for 24/7 escalation of critical project issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Risk:
• Work with Director of Information Systems to develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity risk management plan, covering all aspects of the company's digital infrastructure, from IT systems to operational technology (OT) within BESS installations.
• Collaborate with internal and external IT and OT teams to assess vulnerabilities, implement cybersecurity measures, and ensure system resilience.
• Monitor for emerging cybersecurity threats, conducting regular security audits and penetration tests.
• Develop incident response plans for potential cybersecurity breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery in the event of an attack.
• Stay current on cybersecurity regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and safeguarding against new and evolving threats.
Health & Safety Risk:
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures considering all project phases to ensure a safe working environment across the company's corporate locations and project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis is conducted and corrective actions are implemented.
• Deliver training programs to employees and contractors on health and safety practices and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization
• Design emergency response procedures for each facility and the corporation, including a detailed fire response plan
• Forge relationships with local first responders
• Develop and implement a company-wide safety reporting tool
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and cyber security regulations, standards, and best practices.
Environmental Risk:
• Work with Development team to assist in creation of environmental management plans for Projects.
• Monitor adherence to environmental management plans across all projects
• Ensure all environmental incidents are thoroughly investigated, with corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work closely with internal teams to promote a risk-aware culture and ensure that risk management practices are embedded throughout the organization.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, such as regulatory authorities, contractors, and clients, to ensure that all risk-related requirements and expectations are met.
• Foster strong relationships with partners and vendors to ensure that third-party risks are managed effectively.

Who You Are
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in cyber security, risk management, and/or health and safety, particularly within the energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required, sometimes remote

Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
