Job Description

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of California native plants, regional ecologies, and hands-on experience in gardening. They should be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Natural pruning and habitat management of native and landscape gardens
• Invasive species control and light repair of irrigation systems
• Monitoring wildlife, pests, and diseases in the gardens
• Interacting with the public in the gardens
Requirements:
• Experience with CA native plants and organic gardening methods
• Ability to communicate with the general public about plants
• Practical skills with hand tools, such as pruning shears and hand rakes
• Ability to work long periods under direct sunlight and lift 40 pounds
• Valid CA Driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Bilingual (Spanish) and/or Bay Friendly Certified Professional preferred
