Attero is seeking a full-time Environmental Compliance Manager in Uttarakhand, India. The role involves ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, developing strategies for sustainable practices, conducting environmental assessments, and leading audits. Responsibilities include liaising with regulatory bodies, obtaining permits, and managing hazardous waste compliance. Candidates should have a degree in Environmental Science or related fields, along with proficiency in ISO audits and strong communication skills in Hindi and English.
Job Description
The Environmental Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring our operations adhere to environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and minimizing environmental impacts.
This position requires close collaboration with other departments to integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of our recycling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Implement Environmental Strategies: Create comprehensive environmental management plans and strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and permits.
• Environmental Impact Assessments: Conduct environmental aspect impact assessments (EIAs) to identify areas for improvement and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
• Monitor Environmental Impacts: Regularly assess air, water, noise, vibration, emissions, and soil quality to identify potential environmental impacts.
• Provide Technical Expertise: Offer guidance on environmental best practices, technologies, and innovations to support sustainable operations.
• Lead Environmental Audits: Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Liaison with Regulatory Bodies: Maintain liaison relations with the State Pollution Control Board (SPCB) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for all legal requirements.
• Obtain Permits and Approvals: Apply for and obtain fresh or renewal of consents (CTO, CTE, CGWA, Hazardous Waste Authorization) approvals, permits, and NOCs from relevant government authorities.
• Sustainability Reporting: Manage environment management, sustainability reporting, and environmental compliance.
• Hazardous Waste Management: Ensure compliance with hazardous waste management rules and maintain essential mandatory records as per norms.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Environmental Science or M.Sc in Chemical/Chemistry.
• Proficiency with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 audits and certification processes.
• ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certified auditor.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English.
