Job Description

Natural Hazards Research Australia is seeking Expressions of Interest for a research project on the effects of bushfire and planned burning on ecosystem resilience in the Heathland Sands ecological fire group. Interested research teams must submit a 4-6 page project proposal and budget by 5:00pm AEST on June 6, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of July. This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, VIC.
This research aims to build our understanding of the effects of both bushfire and planned burning on ecosystem resilience in the Heathland Sands (desert) Ecological Fire Group (EFG).

This project is currently open for Expressions of Interest.

Research teams responding to this EOI are required to submit a project proposal (4-6 pages) clearly addressing the requirements of the specifications set out in the EOI and a project budget including details of any in kind contribution from the research organisation.

EOI proposals are due by 5:00pm AEST, 6 June 2025 to research@naturalhazards.com.au. Successful applicants will be notified by the end of July.
