Job Description
Position Title: HSE Manager – Lilly India
Purpose: The HSE Manager is responsible for implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) program for the Lilly India sales affiliate.
Location: Gurgaon, India
Position Responsibilities: The HSE Manager has primary responsibility for implementation and oversight of the Lilly global HSE Directions program and implementation of local HSE regulations for the India affiliate. Specific job responsibilities include the following:
• Implements the affiliate HSE Directions program with a focus on motor vehicle safety, ergonomics and wellness, slip/trip/fall prevention, emergency management, and environmental improvement.
• Owns and facilitates implementation of the affiliate HSE Management System and Safety Culture Plan.
• Ensures the affiliate is in compliance with all applicable local HSE laws and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures HSE compliance related to all contractor operations and facility maintenance and construction activities.
• Coordinates appropriate HSE communications to affiliate personnel.
• Serves as the primary point of contact between the affiliate and Global HSE.
• Ensures prompt and accurate reporting and investigation of all work-related injuries, collisions, and other HSE events, and compiles all related metrics.
• Supports affiliate HSE governance through regular contact with the local leadership team and HSE committee.
• Ensures proper assignment and completion of required HSE training by all affiliate personnel.
• Supports required HSE program monitoring such as facility safety inspections, practice emergency drills, and GHSE gap assessments and audits.
Requirements:
• Experience in managing or implementing HSE programs. Technical HSE degree or certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience in leading motor/vehicle safety trainings
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with and influence senior leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and data management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills to pursue issues and take appropriate action.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently without close supervision.
• Ability to develop and implement effective programs and campaigns.
• Occasional domestic travel
