AmeriCorps VISTA members at Dalton State College will support a campus garden initiative focused on healthy living and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities include developing curriculum, enhancing community partnerships, and promoting nutrition education. AmeriCorps VISTA members at Dalton State College will support a community-driven experiential learning hub centered on a campus garden initiative promoting healthy living, food access, and environmental sustainability. The project will strengthen institutional and community capacity through nutrition and environmental education, curriculum integration, partnership development, volunteer systems, and sustainable food production practices. Through this work, VISTA members will help create scalable systems that expand experiential learning opportunities, promote environmental stewardship, and improve long-term community well-being.


Member Duties : Support the development of a community-driven experiential learning hub centered on a campus garden initiative at Dalton State College. The member will build sustainable systems by developing curriculum integration models, creating training and operational materials, strengthening campus and community partnerships, supporting nutrition and environmental education programming, and establishing volunteer and student leadership structures.
