Health, Safety, Environment and Security Manager

The Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSE&S) Manager plays a critical role in managing the health, safety, environmental, security, and Responsible Care Programs for our site, in line with corporate guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations, including ISO/RC requirements.

In your future role as HSE&S Manager, you will:
• Compliance: Ensure the HSE&S Management process adheres to all corporate and regulatory standards.
• Safety: Analyze activities and make recommendations to address unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Manage and sponsor: Oversee the Survey Consider Act Notify (SCAN) process.
• Lead: Facilitate the plant safety committee.
• Emergency Response: Ensure the viability of the Plant Emergency Response Organization (PERO).
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, Responsible Care practices, and Corporate guidelines.
• Permit Management: Authorize high-risk permit-to-work activities.
• Security Management: Safeguard property and materials, aligning with DHS requirements.
• Health Initiatives: Administer health and wellness initiatives and support HR with fitness evaluations.
• Environmental Stewardship: Manage permit compliance and initiatives to reduce the facility's environmental footprint in line with EPA, MDEQ, ISO, Responsible Care, and corporate directives.
• HSES Suite Utilization: Be a key user of the HSES Suite (Enablon) for documentation and incident tracking.
• Certification Management: Maintain Responsible Care and ISO certifications in collaboration with the Responsible Care Coordinator.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the HSES Department budget and assist in site budgeting processes.
• Community Engagement: Serve as a primary contact for community outreach and site representation.
• Waste Management: Ensure compliant and responsible handling of waste materials.
• Procurement: Purchase supplies and services according to established guidelines.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other responsibilities as assigned.

We believe you bring:
• A technical or engineering degree: Required, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in HSE&S. Professional certifications are preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical information related to plant operations.
• Physical Capability: Comfort working in a chemical manufacturing environment and meeting physical demands such as climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Compliance: Willingness to adhere to Nouryon RBPS 12 Corporate CFATS Personnel Surety Compliance Policy as applicable.
