The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Health and Safety Professional ready for a new challenge? Cleanaway is seeking a dynamic individual to support our Health Services Operational teams. As the Health and Safety Business Partner, you will partner with and guide on all aspects of Health and Safety management, delivering safety plans, initiatives and priorities will be the focus of this integral role as will be ensuring compliance and risk management/mitigation.
Based in Melbourne @ Dandenong, your key responsibilities will include:
• Coach and influence frontline leaders and workers, engaging teams to establish high standards of safety in everyday work
• Provide expert guidance or facilitation to operating sites and other functions relating to the management of change, hazard studies, incident investigations, risk assessments, safe operating envelopes, safety-critical elements and other aspects of process risk management
• Collaborate with key HSE teams and stakeholders to effectively partner to deliver key changes or requirements.
• Conduct hazard and risk analysis, as well as the assurance of effective safe systems of work for high-risk work activities
• Embed a strong safety culture across site operations through the application of HSE behaviours and the establishment of a learning culture
• Maintain and lead safety awareness and compliance activities in the region through proactive assurance activities
About You
• Strong influencing abilities and capability to work with a broad range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to communicate across various levels of stakeholders within the organisation and with external vendors, customers and government agency representatives
• Proven experience as a safety professional relating to production/process facilities though all stages of the plant life cycle to reduce operation risk.
• Understanding and experience working in transport, waste/resource recovery
• Knowledge and experience working in the hazardous process industry, chemical/ petrochemical plants or major hazard facilities is highly desirable.
• Understanding and experience with Process Safety Management and interactions with Conventional Safety Systems
• Hold an appropriate work health and safety qualification
