Cummins Inc. is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Analyst in Phaltan, Maharashtra, India. DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities:
• Support implementation and maintenance of the site HSEMS, control of significant aspects and risks, and achievement of HSE objectives/targets.
• Assist with regulatory compliance efforts and other programs applicable at the site, including storm water management, employee training, recordkeeping/reporting, and other associated HSE programs.
• Monitor day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air quality, water quality, and related programs.
• Assist with internal and external HSE audits; resolve basic issues identified in audits; update HSEMS documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engineering degree with ADIS or relevant government-authorized certifications.

• Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis: Examine HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence-based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting, and avoiding repeated incidents.
• Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems: Interpret and apply international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.
• Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance: Identify, interpret, and manage legal and other requirements by implementing controls, monitoring, and reporting on operational performance to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental-related regulations and standards.
• Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance: Collect and analyze data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy, and protect employees and the environment.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.
• Work Related Injury and Illness Management: Communicate and document work-related injuries or illnesses through application of Cummins reporting guidelines and relevant regulations to classify and manage the event and its consequences as well as achieve regulatory compliance; care for affected employees by facilitating clinical treatment practices and applying case management processes to restore the employee to his/her normal condition.
• Data Mining: Extract insights from data by identifying relationships and patterns through use of a suite of data exploration and data visualization techniques to understand the underlying structure of the data and enable sound conclusions upon model building.

QUALIFICATIONS
Skill and Experience:
• Minimal 6-7 years of industrial HSE experience required.
• Knowledge of HSE compliances related to handling a newly modified plant.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 HSEMS implementation.
