ReNew is seeking a Head of Department for Utility in Solar Cell Manufacturing, based in Bhudai, Uttarakhand, India. The role involves overseeing the masterplan for 2GW cell and module manufacturing, managing plant utility design, operations, and compliance, as well as leading a team and ensuring cost-efficient operations. Candidates should have at least 20 years of experience in managing large plant utilities and be willing to relocate to Dholera, Gujarat.

Job Description

1. Responsible for creation of masterplan for 2GW cell and module manufacturing with all utilities and other plant support services.

2. Lead all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire and other related plant utility Design & operation activities.

3. Interface and create design packages with the respective design consultants for plant equipment’s, high and low side utilities.

4. Responsible for Package specifications finalisation, drawing releases, ECN process execution.

5. Responsible for timely reviews and meeting engineering timelines of project.

6. overall responsible for utility equipment installation, interfacing with all OEM teams and cost- efficient operations of the utility.

7. Responsible for manpower planning, team deployment and development.

8. Implementation of GPER and LOTO system in Utilities.

9. Ensure statutory compliance in Utilities.

10. To improve stability and availability of utility equipment’s.

11. To check inventory of critical spares. Update on stocking items list related to Utilities. Cost control on spares.

12. To drive Energy Conservation jobs throughout the plant. Focusing on Cost reduction (Power Fuel) by studying developing various measures.

13. To carry out pump resizing and indigenizing jobs.

14. To carry out standardization of utility equipment’s in the plant.

15. Good skills to interact with Mechanical/Electrical contractors and get the work done as per time line

16. Preparing and updating records / logs /certificates to conducting support for commissioning new and modified Plant

17. Assessing engineering and designing changes, process enhancements and advising on engineering impact of these changes, determining operability and ensuring appropriate maintenance procedures Candidate with BOE / SAP will be an added advantage

Experience :
• Should have at-least 20 Years of experience managing the complete utility department .
• Should have managed large plant utilities (Electrical,Mechanical,Chemical & Gases etc (and managing strong work force.
• Should be comfortable relocating to Dholera ,Gujarat
