The Role
As the Head of Customer Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Sales Strategy for Squadron Energy, ensuring the development and ongoing management of our Sales Portfolio.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager Customer and Energy Markets, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver a customer-centric approach to our sales operations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive growth, customer engagement, and deliver optimal sales outcomes for the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the Sales Strategy to achieve an optimal Sales Portfolio, balancing market dynamics, asset growth targets, and portfolio risk.
• Lead the sales component of strategic reviews and provide direct input into sales performance forecasts and budget reviews.
• Oversee the interface between SQE and its customers, ensuring their needs are met and relationships are nurtured.
• Define the product and services strategy to support the Sales Portfolio and develop offerings that align with customer needs.
• Lead negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and sales agreements, ensuring that they align with organisational objectives.
• Work closely with the Portfolio Strategy and Analytics team to adjust the Sales Portfolio dynamically based on market volatility and asset growth.
• Lead and manage the Customer Solutions team, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture while developing your team members to reach their full potential.
About you
You will have:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance
• An MBA or Masters in Finance would be highly desirable.
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles within energy markets or a related industry.
• Expertise in sales strategy development, customer relationship management, and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), commercial and industrial (C&I) energy contracts, and government processes related to energy markets.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and optimise sales portfolios within complex market dynamics.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience in managing and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to develop and lead high-performing teams and foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
