Job overview:
The Head of Commercial leads and directs all marketing and sales activities as well as the analyses of the market and oversees the identification of key segment business drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities. This individual will work closely with the Cross-Functional team (Medical, Access, etc.) and will partner with a range of key internal and external stakeholders across organization and will ensure brand and company readiness and the appropriate alignment with the global strategic imperatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for Portfolio P&L (revenue, resource and budget decisions & allocation)
• Ensures successful product launches, optimizes the allocation of resources based on skills and talent and delivers against targets to maximize growth and achieve market leadership.
• Leads the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling a thorough understanding of brand opportunities based on a variety of inputs.
• Develops and implements brand strategies which promote growth, focusing on key cross-functional initiatives.
• Develops and executes short-, mid- and long-term (3-5 yrs) strategy to grow business by increasing market share for the business unit.
• Leads the development of new models and structures for the evolving environment, building knowledge of external strategic changes.
• Manages and executes all marketing and sales-related brand activities, such as development and implementation of commercial brand strategy and execution of tactical brand activities to deliver target sales performance and margin.
• Build a strong team by effectively coaching, developing and energizing all members
• Promote a culture of openness, diversity and inclusion that drives innovation and employee engagement across all functions
Qualifications:
• 12+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Marketing and Sales. Successful Oncology, Hematology, Immunology and product launching experience, as well as team leadership experience are strongly preferred
• Superb leadership skills with a strong ability to build, engage and develop a diverse team while holding its members accountable for results, behaviors and continuous improvement
• Successful record of adapting global strategies in a local environment, integrating market trends, customer insights and competitive response to better capitalize on domestic opportunities
• Strong choice-making capabilities, exhibiting proficiency in disproportional resource allocation, prioritization and innovation focus
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence in a matrix organization by establishing an aligned set of deliverables, contingency plans and metrics
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence the full set of internal and external actors towards achieving target outcomes
• Demonstrated analytical skills, with regards to market research, competitive data collection analysis, financial analysis and crystallization of key business insights are needed
• Knowledge of health care reimbursement system: IMSS, ISSSTE, Private/Trade, etc.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
