Your new role
As the Head of Ecology, you will be responsible for leading and expanding ecological services. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of my client’s ecological and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Create and lead the ecology team, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring high-quality delivery of services, and recruiting the best talent.
Project Management: Oversee and manage a diverse range of ecological projects, ensuring they arepleted on time and within budget.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the ecology department.
Client Relations: Maintain and develop relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures related to ecological and sustainability practices.
What you’ll need to succeed
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and policy.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
• Good tenure of ecological consultancy experience working across a broad range of projetcs, sectors.
• Excellent understanding of survey methodology and report writing requirements for all ecological services.
