We provide the highest quality solar racking and tracker products, the fastest installation, and the most cost-effective solutions.GameChange Solar is seeking a highly organized and analytical Hardware Procurement Manager to oversee our hardware procurement, planning, and inventory control processes. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of hardware components while optimizing inventory levels to meet production demands and minimize carrying costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management principles, excellent analytical skills, and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Hardware Procurement Manager Responsibilities:Demand Planning & Forecasting: Work with the sales forecast to develop accurate demand forecasts for hardware components based on sales projections, product roadmaps, and market trends.Procurement Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement plan that aligns with demand forecasts and production schedules. Determine optimal order quantities, lead times, and safety stock levels.Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for hardware components, ensuring sufficient stock to meet production needs while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. Implement inventory control procedures and track key inventory metrics (e.g., inventory turnover, days of supply).Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with Procurement to manage relationships with key hardware suppliers, providing forecasts and collaborating on capacity planning. Monitor supplier performance and identify potential supply chain risks.Production Planning & Scheduling: Work closely with Production Planning to ensure that hardware components are available when needed for manufacturing. Coordinate with suppliers to expedite orders when necessary.Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and inventory optimization. Track and report on cost savings.Logistics & Supply Chain: Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of hardware components. Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues.Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze inventory data, procurement trends, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to management.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline procurement, planning, and inventory management processes. Implement best practices and leverage technology to improve efficiency.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Sales.Hardware Procurement Manager Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware procurement planning and inventory management, preferably in the consumer electronics, automotive, or medical devices industries.Job Type: Full-timeLocation: Hybrid – Norwalk, CT office 1 day a weekSalary: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurance401(k) matchingPaid time offParental leaveReferral programPrincipals only.
