About the Role: The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful grid connection of our wind and solar projects in the UAE and further ME region. This position requires a deep understanding of Middle Eastern grid regulations and standards, strong technical expertise, and excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all grid connection activities for wind and solar projects, from initial feasibility studies to final grid connection approval.
• Conduct grid impact studies, power flow analysis, and short-circuit calculations to assess the impact of renewable energy projects on the grid.
• Develop and submit grid connection applications to relevant authorities (e.g., Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC), grid operators).
• Coordinate with grid operators, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient grid connection processes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable grid codes, regulations, and standards in the UAE.
• Monitor and address any grid-related issues or challenges during project development, construction, and operation.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in grid integration technologies and best practices.
• Represent the company in grid connection meetings and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of internal grid connection processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in grid integration, power systems engineering, or a related field within the renewable energy sector.
• Proven experience in successfully connecting wind and solar projects to the grid in the Middle East region.
• In-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern grid codes, regulations, and standards (specifically UAE).
• Strong technical expertise in power system analysis, grid modeling, and grid stability studies.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, PowerWorld Simulator, DIgSILENT).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
