Greenhouse Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Greenhouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to plant care and maintenance within a greenhouse environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for horticulture. The Greenhouse Worker will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and productivity of our plants.

Duties
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment used in the greenhouse.
• Perform basic math calculations for tasks such as measuring soil, water, and fertilizer.
• Use hand tools effectively for planting, pruning, and maintaining plants.
• Assist in irrigating plants to ensure proper hydration levels.
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks when moving soil, plants, or equipment.
• Monitor plant health, including identifying pests or diseases, and take appropriate action.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the greenhouse environment.
• Design and planting of custom containers for our off-site customers.
• Design and planting of flower beds for both commercial and individual customers.
• Wedding event delivery, including property set up, help in catering, bar services and more.

Qualifications
• Previous experience working in a greenhouse or similar agricultural setting is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate farm machinery safely.
• Basic math skills for measuring and mixing fertilizers or other solutions accurately.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and plant maintenance.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job duties.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques is advantageous.
• A passion for gardening and plant care is highly desirable.
