Job Description

Green Power EMC at Oglethorpe Power Corporation is seeking an Associate Performance Analyst in Tucker, GA. The role involves tracking and analyzing performance data for renewable energy projects, ensuring data integrity, and supporting billing processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree related to renewable technology or data analytics, with 0-2 years of experience preferred. Strong communication skills and proficiency in PC applications are essential. This is a full-time position with minimal travel.
This position is with Green Power EMC (GPEMC). Green Power EMC is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 2001 to support 38 of Georgia's EMCs in their search for renewable resources. It is the largest operational green power program in the Southeastern United States. Green Power EMC serves its member EMCs by finding, screening, analyzing and negotiating power purchase agreements with Georgia-based renewable resource providers including solar, landfill gas, hydro and wind.

The Performance Analyst will provide performance tracking, analysis, and support to ensure optimal operation of Green Power EMC projects. The Performance Analyst will perform root cause analysis of site or equipment anomalies to ensure that site performance is optimal and perform trend analysis to ensure that issues remain contained. This role will provide routine reports of activities and findings and identify opportunities to streamline and/or automate processes. This position is responsible for data entry, validation, and the integrity of the work order management system and will support the Manager, DER with analysis. The person in this position will also be assisting with the creation of monthly reports on distributed and utility scale solar projects. In addition, this position will provide assistance with the preparation of monthly billing data to support Contracts Administration and the billing process.

Job Duties:
• Viewing, tracking, and analyzing operational performance data and providing detailed findings reports
• Ensuring the validity and integrity of the work order management system
• Process and data collection automation
• Assistance with various tasks related to GPEMC educational program
• Providing support to the billing process

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Sustainable and Renewable Technology, Data Analytics, Business, or similar discipline

Experience: 0-2 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy industry. Utility experience is a plus.

Equivalent Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with applicable industry.

Specialized Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High PC proficiency
• Ability to interpret and analyze accounting and financial statements
• Ability to use word processing and spreadsheets
• Soft skills: Initiative-taking disposition, results-oriented style; meticulous, good interpersonal skills, ability to interface with a diverse range of technical and business disciplines.

Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certifications: Valid driver's license which meets the insurance requirements under Oglethorpe Power's Drivers Qualification Program.

Travel: Percent of travel involved: 5%
