Job Description

Carbon Clean is seeking a Grant Funding Manager in Calgary, AB, to lead grant funding initiatives, manage relationships, and coordinate project milestones. The role requires extensive experience in securing grant funding, particularly in North America, and the ability to work autonomously across global teams. Key responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, building proposal processes, and developing strong communication within the organization. Your key focus will be:
• Lead the execution and delivery of grant funding opportunities in the best interest of Carbon Clean.
• Manage grant funding efforts to maximize financial and strategic value
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure successful project milestone deliveries.
• Build and implement a robust cross functional proposal delivery process within Carbon Clean which includes stage-gated decision points and inputs from all activity groups.
• Identify, track, and apply for grant funding opportunity announcements globally within key geographies with a strong focus on North America (due to level of industry / customer activity).
• Work collaboratively with the activity teams, as well as external collaborators to scope out potential projects which are in line with the objectives of identified grant funding opportunities and Carbon Clean’s strategic growth plan and technology roadmap.
• Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and other teams, build rapport through consistent, confident and open communication style.

To be successful in this role you should have a combination of the below knowledge, skills, and experience:
• Demonstrable capability in working within tight deadlines while delivering high quality outputs
• Highly experienced in working autonomously with an ability to manage own workloads
• Extensive experience identifying, managing, applying and winning grant funding from different agencies. Direct experience with North American funding programs is a strong asset
• Previous experience working remotely within a global team across multiple time zones in an efficient manner
• Can clearly define what is required for funding applications and understands where and how to obtain that information
• Demonstrable experience managing a variety of multi-party projects with conflicting priorities
• Excellent ability in communication, reporting and network building
• High level of motivation, with the energy, drive and commitment to “make things happen”
• Personal integrity and pride in providing high quality and accurate information, always looking to improve the clarity and value of outputs
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems without seeking guidance and supervision
• Inquisitive nature, always looking for ways to improve things and share ideas.
