About the Role: We are seeking an Environmental Planner/Environmental Consultant to join our company to assist in environmental impact assessment, preparing and managing project approvals and assisting with ongoing environmental compliance for our clients. Graduates are encouraged to apply.

Assisting our Principal Consultants, you will have significant responsibility and initiative to work effectively to advise our clients on their project options and implications, and to work through to practical solutions. Our hybrid work environment mixes work from home and the office as required,

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaboratively work with our clients to deliver environmental approvals and compliance projects for high-profile development initiatives.
• Manage key approvals such as Environmental Impact Assessments, Review of Environmental Factors, Clearing Permits, EPBC Referrals and Development Applications.
• Prepare and manage the preparation of Environmental Management Plans (EMPs)
• Provide input into approval strategy.
• Monitor and ensure post-approval compliance.
• Conduct field monitoring and surveys, biodiversity offsets, quarry rehabilitation, and sustainability reporting as required.
• Assist and advise in matters of decision review and appeal
• Participate on project teams for environmental management/coastal management/climate change projects.

About You: Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or urban and regional planning.
• Up to 3+ years of experience in project approvals, environmental management, environmental planning or similar in Western Australia (graduates welcome to apply).
• Experience liaising and negotiating with government agency Officers to achieve acceptable outcomes.
• Consulting experience is considered advantageous.
