Job Description:
RSK Nature Positive’s Carbon & Sustainability team provides top quality sustainability and environmental advice and assurance to a variety of sectors. The team delivers high-quality carbon footprints and decarbonisation plans in support of net-zero and science-based targets; and offers other sustainability services related to climate risk, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and built environment sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Working on Climate Change EIA chapters, to include climate change risk and greenhouse gas assessments
Non-EIA climate risk work, including TCFD and climate change risk assessments
Inputting into Climate Change chapters for international Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs)
Delivering greenhouse gas assessments (‘carbon footprints’), assurance and verification, life-cycle assessments and reporting
BREEAM or built environment sustainability work.
Person Specification
BSc qualification in a relevant or related discipline, or demonstration of equivalent practical experience
A strong general grounding in environmental and climate science
Experience in or familiarity with climate change risk assessment (physical and/or transition) and/or with climate adaptation strategies
An understanding of climate data and modelling
Strong quantitative and Excel skills (this will be assessed in the recruitment process)
Demonstrable experience at self-management and working under your own initiative, including managing several projects or workstreams (for graduates this can be while studying)
