About the position
The Government Affairs Program Manager for Administrative Advocacy at the Climate Action Campaign (CAC) is responsible for coordinating efforts to support the coalition's climate policy goals. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, including the Biden Administration and environmental agencies, to advance administrative rules and executive actions aimed at reducing climate emissions. The position requires strong project management and collaboration skills to develop strategies and execute advocacy tactics while maintaining clear communication across departments.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate with Government Affairs professionals and senior leadership to support climate policy goals.

• Maintain and build relationships with coalition members, partners, and administration officials.

• Serve as the CAC liaison to key administrative staff, facilitating communication and updates.

• Support coalition engagement with agency officials, including drafting advocacy materials and tracking regulatory developments.
,
• Assist in setting the agenda for regular meetings of the CAC administrative strategy group.
,
• Contribute to planning and reporting on administrative activities, including tracking meetings and events.
,
• Write and disseminate talking points and other materials developed by the campaign.
Requirements
• 3-4 years of experience in advocacy or political campaigns, preferably on Capitol Hill or with a nonprofit organization.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with federal agency officials.

• Familiarity with climate policy and the regulatory process at the Environmental Protection Agency.

• Proficient in project management and able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Experience working in coalitions, with demonstrated leadership experience being a plus.

• High degree of professionalism and cultural competency.
