About the Team
The Customer Compliance Performance team is undergoing significant transformation, creating exciting new opportunities to join at a pivotal time, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact. This team provides specialist compliance expertise to the Customer Business Unit, supporting effective compliance management and ensuring EnergyAustralia’s regulatory obligations, governance systems, processes, and frameworks meet both industry standards and customer expectations. About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Compliance Performance Team, as a Governance Specialist. In this role, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing governance, risk management, and compliance practices across the Customer Business Unit. The role ensures strong oversight of audit actions, risk treatments, and remediation activities, while maintaining governance frameworks, registers, and key reporting processes. Other aspects of the role include:
• Drive transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement in business practices
• Maintain Customer Compliance Performance policies, procedures, templates, and governance documentation
• Track, monitor, and report on the completion of audit actions, compliance treatments, and remediation activities
• Lead and manage relationships with Enterprise Risk, Group Internal Audit, and Internal Control teams to ensure effective governance outcomes
• Execute governance and compliance reporting processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience working in a governance, risk, compliance, or audit environment within a complex organisation. Other things we’re keen on include:
• Demonstrated ability to maintain governance frameworks, risk registers, policies, and compliance reporting processes
• Ability to drive remediation outcomes, with experience in supporting internal & external regulatory audit processes
• Analytical mindset, with a strong ability to solve complex problems
• Organised and detail focussed
