Our organization is growing, and we are looking for two (2) Go Solar Fellows to join our team for a 12-month Fellowship! About the Fellowship
We are seeking two (2) Fellows to join our team supporting our Go Solar department. Each Fellow will primarily support one (1) region within our organizational structure: Heartland Region (Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia) West Region (Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, Texas, Nevada) This temporary part-time employment is an opportunity open to people of all educational backgrounds and work experience levels who are U.S. or Puerto Rico residents. Fellows must utilize their own computer. This position will directly report to a Go Solar Senior Associate. Fellows will support field staff in their day-to-day implementation of solar co-ops and other programming. This includes tracking co-op members in Salesforce, answering co-op member inquiries, maintaining content on program websites, and drafting materials for use by field and communications staff. They will also help review and prepare solar installer bids for our co-ops and will gain familiarity with the finances and equipment of a solar installation. Fellows will receive college credit or an hourly wage of $17.50, with flexible work hours ranging from 15 to 20 hours per week. This role offers a fun and engaging remote work environment, with the option to work from our Washington, D.C. office near Dupont Circle. Fellows will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience. Please include a resume with your application. Responsibilities Job responsibilities include: Support field staff in the day-to-day implementation of solar co-ops (60%) Conduct satellite roof assessments of potential co-op members Create and update individual co-op webpages through WordPress Draft documents and materials for use by field and communications staff, including requests for proposals (RFPs). Update emails, informational documents, and blog posts. Provide solar technical assistance by responding to inquiries, questions, and concerns of co-op participants Manage and maintain co-op member records in Salesforce Work with the broader organization (Growth team, Development team, Executive team) to optimize the promotion and growth of solar co-ops Support Go Solar team (40%) Identify improvements to solar co-op processes and materials Work with broader organizational staff to implement these improvements Support special initiatives, content development, training, and educational work Required Qualifications
Strong research and data analysis skills Ability to self-manage and multi-task for both short and long-term projects Organized and detail oriented Upbeat attitude and willingness to help Comfortable working with Microsoft office and Google docs . Preferred Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills Spanish fluency Experience using tech platforms (Salesforce, WordPress, Slack, Asana) We anticipate accepting applications until end of March, with the first review of candidates in the middle of March.
