Global Supply Chain Planning Director

As the Director of Global Supply Chain Planning, you will lead the global strategy and execution for end-to-end supply chain planning across demand planning, distribution center (DC) replenishment, and plant production planning. This role is instrumental in enabling a resilient, technology driven, sustainable, and efficient global supply chain that anticipates customer needs and drives profitable growth.
This role is a key driver of Atmus' Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process-leading the Demand and Supply Reviews and enabling effective Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE). Your leadership will ensure alignment across commercial, operations, and finance teams, driving improved service levels, agility, and inventory optimization across our global network. This role is located in Nashville, TN at Atmus' Headquarters.
Responsibilities
• Lead Global Planning Strategy:
Develop and deploy the global supply chain planning strategy covering demand forecasting, supply network planning, DC replenishment, and factory production planning across multiple regions. Be a key architect and leader of the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and S&OE processes within IBP, driving alignment across functions.
• Demand Planning Leadership:
Oversee the monthly demand planning process in collaboration with Commercial teams and Finance; ensure robust statistical forecasting methods and cross-functional consensus to deliver accurate demand signals.
• DC Replenishment and Inventory Planning:
Direct replenishment planning across all global DCs to ensure availability, minimize backorders, and optimize working capital. Leverage advanced analytics to align inventory targets with market demand and service expectations.
• Production Planning Oversight:
Partner with manufacturing plants to translate demand into executable production plans. Drive plan adherence, balanced capacity utilization, and effective response to demand variability.
• Digital Tools & Process Standardization:
Champion the adoption of digital planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP IBP or similar) and lead standardization of integrated business planning processes and metrics across business units and geographies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Align with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Commercial, and Finance to ensure integrated business planning and supply-demand synchronization.
• Talent Development & Leadership:
Build and mentor a high-performing global planning team. Set performance expectations, provide coaching and development opportunities, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Performance Management:
Monitor KPIs (forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, production plan adherence, etc.). Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for major supply-demand imbalances or service issues.
• Scenario & Contingency Planning:
Prepare for demand shifts, supply disruptions, and market volatility through robust what-if scenarios and contingency strategies.
• Executive Reporting & Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on planning performance, risks, and improvement initiatives. Advocate for planning priorities in cross-functional forums.
Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required.
• MBA or Master's preferred.
• APICS/CPIM or other relevant supply chain certifications a plus.
Experience:
• 10+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain planning
• 5+ years in leadership roles with global or regional planning accountability
• Strong track record in managing demand, supply, and inventory planning functions across manufacturing and distribution environments
• Experience in high volume, high product mix, made-to-stock and made-to-order environments preferred
• Familiarity with automotive aftermarket or industrial manufacturing is a plus
Base salary range: $ 134,024 - $223,373
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
