Global Environmental Specialist

Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. is hiring a Global Environmental Specialist in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves managing sustainability programs, conducting research, and collaborating with ESG departments to enhance value chain sustainability. Candidates should have experience in Supply Chain or Sustainability, with a focus on building relationships and working independently. A High School Diploma with 6 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience is required.
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Supply Chain Strategist to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan, Inc. In this role, you will provide support for programs related to value chain sustainability frameworks globally.

Job Overview:
• Provide project management, research, analysis, and development of program materials to meet corporate commitments while strengthening the program over time.
• Support the external reporting of value chain sustainability issues in close collaboration with the ESG Relations & Sustainability departments.

Responsibilities:
• Research, develop, and deliver recommendations for suppliers as needed, based on due diligence profiles to align with corporate programs/directives and the Business Partner Code of Conduct.
• Coordinate with relationship owners within GSC to obtain relevant information, communicate recommendations, and ensure action items are completed timely.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED with at least six (6) years of experience working in Supply Chain, Sustainability or related area; OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Sustainability or related field (i.e. Accounting, International Development, Business, or related) and with at least two (2) years of experience working in Supply Chain or Sustainability or related area.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to work independently.
