GLF Sustainable Finance Coordinator

The GLF Sustainable Finance Coordinator at CIFOR and ICRAF will support sustainable finance initiatives focused on nature-based solutions and biodiversity conservation. Responsibilities include managing grant deliverables, organizing finance-focused events, and enhancing access to finance for local communities. The role requires collaboration with various teams and partners to integrate sustainable finance across initiatives, driving investment in sustainable landscapes. This is a full-time position based in Time, IL.
TheSustainable Finance Coordinator will support GLF's efforts to mainstreamsustainable finance for nature-based solutions, biodiversity conservation, andecosystem restoration. With an expanding portfolio of donors and partners,GLF's Sustainable Finance program is growing, driving innovative financialsolutions and strengthening partnerships with key financial organizationsworldwide. This role will contribute to the design and implementation ofsustainable finance initiatives, ensuring alignment with GLF's broader work streams, including Community & Action (GLFx and Youth), Learning,Knowledge, and Digital Communications, as well as integration with CIFOR-ICRAFinitiatives, notably Resilient Landscapes.

Thecoordinator will play a central role in organizing finance-focused events,shaping knowledge products, and facilitating collaboration across GLF teams andexternal partners. A key focus will be on increasing the bank ability oflocally-led projects and supporting access to finance mechanisms for localcommunities and Indigenous Peoples, ensuring that sustainable finance solutionsare both inclusive and impactful. Through these efforts, the role will helpscale investment into sustainable landscapes and drive meaningful action atboth local and global levels.

Underthe supervision of the GLF Deputy Director and the GLF Sustainable FinanceLead, the Sustainable Finance Coordinator will play a key role in advancingGLF's sustainable finance efforts by managing project deliverables, fosteringstrategic partnerships, and integrating sustainable finance across GLFinitiatives. Key responsibilities include:
• Leadthe coordination and implementation of sustainable finance grant deliverables,overseeing and monitoring project milestones and results, and engaging withpartners and donors.
• Leadthe organization and management of the flagship GLF sustainable finance events,as well as workshops, webinars and sustainable finance sessions within largerGLF events.
• Coordinateand deliver capacity-building initiatives, in collaboration with other GLFteams, aimed at enhancing local communities' and Indigenous Peoples' access tosustainable finance. This includes designing training programs, matchmakingevents, and piloting new mechanisms for improving financial access for projectdevelopers.
• Workwith the Knowledge and Communications teams to integrate sustainable financeobjectives into broader events, campaigns, and policy narratives.
• Engagewith strategic initiatives within CIFOR-ICRAF, notably Resilient Landscapes, toalign efforts, share expertise, and identify opportunities for collaboration onsustainable finance, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem restoration.
