Geoenvironmental Engineer

Location: Colchester

Salary: £32,000-£36,000

Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive ground investigationsAssisting with the planning and supervision of Phase 2 site investigationsCarrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and sampling activitiesSupervising drilling rigs, excavation works, and subcontractors on siteCoordinating laboratory testing and interpreting geotechnical and environmental dataAssisting with geotechnical assessments including settlement and earthworks evaluationsSupporting remediation projects and validation worksPreparing technical reports including factual, interpretative, and remediation reportsLiaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary design teamsEnsuring all site activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety and environmental regulationsWhat We're Looking For:

Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related disciplineExperience within a geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy environmentGood understanding of site investigations, contaminated land assessment, and remediation principlesStrong communication and technical report-writing skillsAbility to manage workload effectively and work to project deadlinesA collaborative approach with strong attention to detailExperience carrying out site work and interpreting investigation dataFull UK driving licenceRight to work in the UKThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Geoenvironmental Engineer looking to develop within a supportive consultancy that values technical quality, teamwork, and professional growth.
