Job Description
Integrated Sustainability is seeking a General Manager for Sustainable Agriculture & Water Solutions in Calgary, AB. The role involves leading multidisciplinary projects, managing teams, and ensuring high-quality, sustainable solutions in water and agriculture. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, operational oversight, innovation, compliance with regulations, and business development. Candidates should have relevant educational qualifications and strong leadership and project management skills.
Overview :
As a General Manager, Sustainable Agriculture & Water Solutions, you will lead multidisciplinary projects to deliver high-quality and sustainable solutions for our clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on water, waste, and energy projects, enabling you to advance your career while making significant industry contributions.
Your industry experience, combined with strong project and people management skills, will drive innovative sustainable agriculture and water solutions.
Duties
• Develop and execute strategic plans for sustainable agriculture and water solutions to meet organizational objectives and market demands ensuring all projects and initiatives meet high standards for quality, reliability, and scalability.
• Lead, mentor, train, and manage a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines and budgets and alignment with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and industry best practices.
• Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies, tools, and processes, championing sustainable practices within the organization and across the industry.
• Develop and manage team and project budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations related to agriculture and water management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
• Support with business development activities including developing proposals, and representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and forums to promote sustainable agriculture and water solutions.
• Identify and secure funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships, to support projects and initiatives.
• Identify market trends and opportunities to expand the organization’s reach and impact.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Water Resources Management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience or credentials can be considered.
• A Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sustainable Development, or a related discipline is an asset.
• Project Management Professional designation is an asset.
Skills
• Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture practices, water management strategies, and environmental regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in business development, financial management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications
• Relevant certifications in sustainability, project management (e.g., PMP), or environmental management are an asset.
• Legally able to work in Canada or be eligible to apply for work in Canada.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
