Quinbrook invests across the technology landscape encompassing distributed scale solar PV, onshore wind, battery storage, biomass, fugitive methane recovery, demand response, power-to-x, grid support and flexibility, community energy networks, EV charging and 'Virtual Power Plants'. PEP is a cross fund team that provides specialty project and technology advisory services including support for digital activities.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Full Stack Engineer to join our team which is based in Los Angeles, CA. In this hybrid role, you will be building and supporting applications that enable the transition to a lower carbon energy future, principally our application called Quintrace (www.quintrace.com) and an internal power plant simulation and modeling tool for design optimization. This role requires working closely with key stakeholders at Quinbrook portfolio companies and with the investment and asset management teams at PEP and Quinbrook across the US, UK and Australia.

Key Responsbilities:

The ideal candidate should excel in front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, have a solid background in Python programming, and be experienced in AWS cloud services and Terraform. This role involves a range of projects, from developing high-quality software solutions to collaborating with cross-functional teams, and requires expertise in CI/CD pipelines using Git.

· Design and develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, with experience in Tailwind CSS.

· Build and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Python, with experience in FastAPI and other Python web API frameworks.

· Deploy and manage applications on AWS cloud services, employing Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

· Work with microservices architecture.

· Collaborate with project managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to conceptualize and implement creative solutions.

· Ensure technical feasibility and maintain the integrity of UI/UX designs.

· Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

· Implement security measures and data protection protocols.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

· Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

· Manage CI/CD pipelines in Git, ensuring smooth and efficient code integration and deployment processes.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 2-5 years of experience in full-stack development.

· Strong proficiency in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and frameworks (React), with experience in Tailwind CSS.

· Extensive experience with Python, particularly FastAPI and other web API frameworks.

· Skilled in AWS services like ECS, CloudWatch, Glue, S3, RDS, Lambda, Eventbridge, etc., and knowledgeable in Terraform for IaC practices.

· Experience with microservices architecture.

· Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar.

· Proficient in Git for version control and experienced in managing CI/CD pipelines.

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

· Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

· Natural intellectual curiosity and interest in exposure to broader energy transition opportunities and digitization.

· Proactive, entrepreneurial individual who can function independently and as part of a highly collaborative team who exhibits initiative and a demonstrated desire to learn

· Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills:

· Any relevant professional certifications covering the aforementioned technologies would be a strong plus.

A reasonable estimate for the base salary range is $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
