The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,100 to $109,000, depending on experience, as well as a full range of benefits including bonus opportunities and a 401(k) plan.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a technically proficient Analyst to support our Special Nuclear Material (SNM) Control and Accountability efforts. You will leverage your expertise to handle complex problems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize established guidelines to analyze and resolve challenging issues related to SNM accountability and external reporting requirements. Prepare and review government reports (DOE/NRC Form 741, 742, and 742c) in accordance with procedures and regulatory standards, working with minimal supervision.
• Manage and administer the SNM reporting process, maintaining the accounting database (TracWorks) and ensuring accurate reconciliation of materials.
• Coordinate with various teams to support fuel inspections, shipping audits, and special requests from internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating policies and procedures.
• Attend and participate in industry conferences focused on SNM Accounting and Reporting.
• Mentor fellow Fuel Databank Analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Regularly review and enhance internal processes to promote continuous improvement in SNM tracking and accountability systems.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned, including emergency response and departmental coverage.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of data analyst experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of data analyst experience.
• Familiarity with the nuclear or regulated industries, demonstrating a rigorous attention to detail and advanced Excel/data manipulation skills.
• Capacity to meet access requirements and favorable medical evaluations as necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to demonstrate a higher level of accountability than typical Fuels Databank Analysts.
• Proactive involvement in projects outside of primary responsibilities.
• Strong capability to mentor less experienced team members.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
