GreenWaste Recovery LLC is hiring a Forklift Operator in Stockton, CA. The role involves loading and unloading materials, ensuring safety and operational efficiency, and performing quality control. We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Forklift Operator to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our site located at 2435 East Weber Avenue, Stockton, CA 95205 and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Forklift Operator to provide support to one or more facilities. This role’s primary responsibilities include loading and unloading warehouse material, optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, and identifying damages to vehicles.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety.
• Loading clients shipping containers with commodities for export.
• Perform quality control on outbound materials to company and client standards.
• Optimizing outgoing loads to ensure buyer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Adhering to company production schedules and shipping timelines.
• Transporting baled commodities to the proper storage locations onsite
• Securely placing loads on the forks of the machine before transportation.
• Stacking baled commodities in the storage areas safely and to company protocols.
• Works with the Logistics Supervisor to help manage the inventory of commodities.
• Communicate with coworkers using radios, meetings, and hand signals.
• Helps the bale dressing team move and clean materials as needed.
• Picking, wrapping, and loading orders for shipment.
• Inspecting and scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.
• Other tasks as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
• Must be able to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relations.
• Efficient individual with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance a plus.

Qualifications:
• Valid fork-lift operation certificate.
• Good physical condition.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Language Skill:
• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish

Physical Demands:
• Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Constant bending and twisting
• Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
• Constant climbing in and out of a forklift

Work Environment:

The typical work week is Monday through Friday. Weekend work will be necessary at times. The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
