About the position

Reforestation Solutions, Inc. is seeking to fill 48 Forestry Worker positions for a temporary, full-time seasonal role. The employment period is from October 1, 2024, to June 5, 2025. Workers will report to 3040 Highlands Pkwy SE, STE B, Smyrna, Cobb County, GA 30080, and will be compensated at a rate of $12.35 per hour. The employer will provide daily transportation between the reporting address and various worksites across multiple states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia. The primary duties of the Forestry Workers include hand planting tree seedlings, maintaining surrounding vegetation through trimming, clearing, pruning, thinning, and removing debris. Workers will also be responsible for spraying or injecting herbicides to control competing vegetation, identifying and removing diseased or undesirable trees using power saws or hand saws, and selecting trees for cutting based on specific markings, sizes, types, or grades. This role requires physical stamina as work is performed outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and may involve strenuous labor for extended periods. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the potential for 40+ hours per week, excluding breaks. Weekend and holiday work may be required depending on project needs, weather conditions, and travel between worksites. The employer complies with all applicable employment laws regarding wages, breaks, and overtime, with overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked beyond 40 in a week. Workers must be able to walk up to 15 miles a day and carry loads of up to 50 pounds through rough terrain. On-the-job training is available, and no minimum education requirement is specified.
