Job Description

K&S Contracting QLD is seeking a Forestry Worker for a casual position in Gympie, Australia, requiring 38+ hours per week. Duties include weed spraying, brushcutting, tree planting, and plantation maintenance. Applicants should have experience in forestry or related fields, physical fitness for outdoor work, and a valid 'C' class driver licence. The role involves travel and may include seasonal fire duties, with opportunities for career progression.
A Forestry Worker required for a casual position for 38+ hours a week. The position is based from Gympie with some travel required to perform all silviculture services such as weed control, planting, and fire protection.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity for career progression.

We also have the option for seasonal fire duties.

The Duties:

Duties will include

· Weed spraying

· Brushcutting

· Tree planting

· General plantation maintenance

· Equipment maintenance

· Hazard reduction burning, wildfire response and surveillance

The Requirements:

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

· Experience in any of the following – Forestry, manual rural work, vegetation management

· A high level of physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions

· Availability for away work as required

· The proven ability to pass pre-employment and on-going random drug and alcohol testing

· A strong commitment to team performance and communication

· A high level of self-motivation with an excellent work ethic

· Minimum “C” class driver licence

Job Type: Casual

Schedule:
• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Work Authorisation:
• Australia (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
