Wright Canada Holdings Ltd is seeking a Forestry Technician Supervisor in Field, BC. This full-time role involves overseeing administrative duties, planning production logistics, and motivating a team. Candidates should have 3-5 years of forestry experience, a relevant education, and a valid B.C. driver’s license. Full benefits package Overtime, statutory holiday, and vacation pay Work 10 days on with 4 days off Paid travel time, per diem and accommodations when away from home Employee ownership plan All equipment and tools supplied Comprehensive training and career development opportunities Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate completion of administrative duties such as payroll tracking, production tracking, equipment inspection and maintenance, drills, safety documents, and production reports. Plan daily and weekly production and logistics for your team before the work begins and inspect your team’s work in conjunction with sample plots and document Motivate and inspire those on your team to perform to their fullest potential Communicate with clients and their representatives to maintain a good working relationship Collaborate with Project Manager to oversee contract safety, production, and quality Assist Project Manager in keeping projects within the allotted budget Create final deliverable packages to be submitted to the client Oversee completion of daily field tasks Train new staff to safely perform all job functions Ability to complete job duties in physically strenuous and varying terrains Other duties as required Experience and Knowledge Expectations: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Forestry-related experience Post-secondary education in natural resources, forestry or a related field is an asset A valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, or equivalent, and a current Driver’s Abstract Previous experience operating ATVs and pick-up trucks safely on various road conditions is an asset Prior supervisory experience ensuring production targets are met while meeting financial targets Previous experience in compliance and implementation of safety standards Preference may be given to candidates holding a valid BC Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required for safety sensitive positions including positions with driving responsibilities Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field The ability to work away from home for scheduled periods of time Experience working with chainsaws would be considered an asset A love of the outdoors Join Our Team: SRG is a business unit of an employee-owned company formed in 2017, known as Wright Canada Holdings (WCH).
