Sierra Pacific Industries is seeking a Sustainability & Safety Coordinator for their Anderson, CA location. The role involves managing sustainability certifications, coordinating safety programs, and collaborating across departments to promote environmental awareness. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will work with staff on a company-wide basis to manage Company sustainability certifications and coordinate an effective Forestry Department Safety Program. This position will be based from our Anderson, California location (consideration may be given to another Company location).About the PositionManage certification programs and ensure compliance with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Forest Management, Fiber Sourcing and Chain of Custody, as well as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody standards for both Sierra Pacific Industries and SPI Windows DivisionManage and coordinate a successful safety program for our Forestry teamDevelop, implement, monitor, and evaluate effectiveness of sustainability and safety initiatives, programs, and projectsEffectively collaborate with various departments to integrate best sustainability and safety practicesConduct sustainability and safety assessments and audits to promote environmental awareness and education within the organizationOrganize and coordinate related projects, events, and activitiesStay updated on latest sustainability and safety trends and best practices and provide engaging training both within and outside the CompanyAdvocate for sustainability while developing solid partnerships within both the Company and the communityQualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Forestry or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in a sustainability-related roleDemonstrated understanding of environmental issues, sustainable practices and safety programs with the ability to work collaboratively with various partners to achieve desired outcomesExcellent project management and data analysis skills, while using critical thinking to effectively solve problemsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively promote sustainability and safety initiativesProficiency in written communication skills and attention to detailsExtensive travel required at timesWhy Join Our Team?
