Basic Function

As part of the Finance Group, the Financing Compliance Manager will support the company in various functions including management of debt and tax equity facilities, covenant compliance, internal and external reporting, and process improvement. This position will play a vital role in the organization by ensuring all financing obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team responsible for adhering to debt obligations, maintaining good standing with lenders, and supporting the overall financial health of the business. This position will coordinate with a variety of internal and external counterparties including Capital Markets, FP&A, Asset Management, various banks, and tax equity partners. This role requires a deep understanding of financial regulations, debt structures, and the renewable energy industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. They will maintain meticulous records in a multi-project, multi-entity setting and will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment demanding a high-level of ownership.

Responsibilities
• Review and interpret loan agreements, tax equity financing documents, and other financings related documents.
• Monitor and help manage the company’s financings (including both debt and tax equity) to ensure compliance with financial obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
• Serves as a point of contact for lenders, investors, and other financial stakeholders.
• In collaboration with FP&A, conduct regular analysis of the company’s financial performance relative to financial models and covenants.
• Prepare and submit compliance certificates and other required documentation to lenders and investors.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and disclosures.
• Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and industry standards that may impact debt compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and financial advisors to ensure all debt compliance requirements are met.
• Facilitate communication between internal departments and external stakeholders regarding the company’s financing.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance debt compliance processes.
• Utilize financial software and tools to streamline financing management and reporting.
• Provide training and guidance to finance team members on financing compliance best practices.
