The Opportunity

The Financial Systems Analyst at ElectraNet acts as the crucial link between financial systems and business needs. They ensure the smooth operation and integration of core financial applications, maintaining data integrity for accurate financial reporting and analysis. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop custom reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights for decision-making.

Furthermore, this role entails being the guardian of financial data assets. The analyst is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, enforcing quality standards and resolving anomalies. They also contribute to developing data standards, bridging the gap between technology and finance teams to improve data quality and tool effectiveness. The analyst will maintain the integrity of master data, enabling accurate and reliable system-generated financial reports.

Success in this position hinges on initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the interplay between IT and finance systems. Building solid relationships with stakeholders and the ability to translate complex information into systematic solutions are also essential for excelling in this role.

About You

As the right candidate, this role will see you bring the ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of stakeholders in a way that is easily understood, and to translate and systemise accounting excellence. You will have a high level of initiative, exceptional attention to detail, an intricate understanding of the operation and linkages of IT and Finance systems, along with the ability to build relationships across broad internal and external stakeholder groups.

This role focuses on providing expert financial systems and accounting guidance across ElectraNet. This involves ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and audit regulations, including designing and implementing necessary system updates. The specialist will act as a key advisor, ensuring the organization's financial practices are sound and up to date.

Furthermore, the individual will continuously analyse the business's transactional and reporting needs, driving improvements through the development of effective reports and dashboards. This includes a critical review of existing processes to identify areas for enhancement and ensure that reporting meets the evolving needs of the organization.

Here is what we are looking for in our new Team Member:
• Extensive experience in Systems Accounting, Business Intelligence, or Financial Reporting & Analysis;
• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA (FI, CO, MM, PS, PM, HR, Payroll, IM);
• Proficient in report/dashboard development (SAP BW, SAC, Power BI, etc.);
• Advanced MS Excel skills;
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and practices;
• Practical experience in accounting/regulatory compliance;
• Solid understanding of financial business processes;
• Strong ability to apply innovative thinking, analytical skill and problem-solving;
• Demonstrated ability to apply sound project management methodology to effectively manage and prioritise work schedules and projects, whilst being a team player and operating within a cross-functional team environment
