Job Description: Financial Accountant

You will join our finance team within the Accounting department, working closely with three other team members. Your key responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting in compliance with IFRS and Italian GAAP standards using SAP ERP system
• Management of VAT registers, including preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT, WHT, Intrastat, and other similar returns
• Active participation in the monthly Group reporting process in IFRS to the Corporate Finance department
• Collaboration with Senior Financial Accountant to ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting deadlines and review of journal entries, balances, and other financial statement line items
• Identifying, investigating, and resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Review and analyze various financial reports and other data to ensure accuracy
• Continuously evaluating and improving accounting processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
• Assisting with year-end audit and other internal and external audits
• Responding to ad-hoc queries and coordinating reporting processes with other departments and functions as required
• Proper archiving of financial documents and records in compliance with legal and company requirements
Qualifications:

We seek candidates with:
• Higher education in Economy, Finance, or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (experience in multinational companies and/or Accounting consultant experience will be a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Local Accounting Standards and Tax rules (knowledge of IFRS will be a plus)
• SAP basic knowledge is an advantage
• Good knowledge and hands-on of Excel and reporting systems
• Flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
• Team player, ability to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines
• Fluent in Italian and English
