Job Highlights
As the Finance Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial management within our organization. Collaborating closely with the Senior Finance Manager, your responsibilities will encompass accounting, compliance, and reporting for a growing portfolio of related entities structured as joint venture LLCs. Additionally, you will manage federal and mitigation revenue recognition and support various senior-level accounting tasks.
You will serve as a key resource for staff regarding their responsibilities, actively leading and coordinating activities with both internal and external parties to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables. Success in this role requires collaboration with business partners and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial colleagues.
What You Will Be Doing
To excel in this position, the following essential duties must be performed satisfactorily:
• Develop and maintain familiarity with operating agreements for related entities (LLCs) to ensure timely completion of finance deliverables.
• Execute a variety of accounting and administrative management tasks, including:
• Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements and capital schedules.
• Conduct bank reconciliations for LLCs.
• Manage compliance deliverables per agreement terms, including delivery of reports, tax returns, and partner invoicing.
• Assist with audit and tax processes for LLCs.
• Carry out regular accounting and financial management tasks, such as:
• Revenue recognition for federal awards and cooperative agreements.
• Assist in project closeouts in assigned business areas.
• Perform account and financial analysis as required.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regularly to achieve objectives.
What We Need You to Have
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Tax accounting background or a strong willingness to learn key principles relevant to partnership LLCs.
• Solid understanding of financial statements.
• Experience with automated accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Ability to analyze and apply regulatory frameworks to moderately complex transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across varied audiences, comfortable engaging with both tax and audit professionals and non-financial colleagues.
• A proactive, flexible, and reliable self-starter who thrives in a dynamic work environment.

What We'd Like You to Have
• CPA or MBA is strongly preferred.
• Experience with not-for-profit accounting principles and federal grant accounting requirements under 2 CFR 200.
• SharePoint experience is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Limited travel; estimated one short trip per year.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000, with eligibility for performance-based bonus opportunities. Note that the final salary may vary based on individual qualifications, including skills, experience, and education.
