Job Description
Google is hiring a Finance Manager for Energy and Sustainability Finance in Chicago, IL. The role requires a bachelor's degree and extensive experience in financial planning, particularly in the energy sector. Responsibilities include managing renewable energy data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting financial reporting. Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
5 years of experience in the energy or utilities industry, or a related field.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, preferably in business, finance, economics or energy-related field
Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Organised, detail oriented, strategically focused and ability to effortlessly multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $171000 - $248000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
Manage Google's Energy and renewable energy data portfolio by partnering with Finance and Accounting teams and other internal partners to provide essential renewable energy financial information for financial reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support reporting on Google's renewable energy purchases, energy consumption, and renewable energy credit retirement, as well as progress toward renewable energy targets.
Support team in sourcing and managing renewable energy contracts and utility service agreements.
Track, analyze, and report on individual and portfolio-level renewable energy project costs, generation, availability, and profitability.
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts and month-end close of energy costs and generation from renewable energy projects, including utilizing developer generation forecasts, project development schedules, historical data, and other relevant inputs to support budgeting and planning efforts.
