The Role
We are seeking to engage a Finance Business Partner Lead for our Global Transport Business in either our Brisbane or Melbourne office. The successful Financial Business Partner will be responsible for financial leadership and commercial support for the transport business, ensuring a high standard of project finance data for all projects and best practice in project control.
You will work in collaboration with the transport leadership team to maximise performance of the sector by overseeing all financial matters including reporting, analysis, budgets and forecasts, financial modelling for key projects, operational efficiencies and enhancing financial and business processes, including commercial risk management and system improvements.
This position will work with Finance leads to provide the financial oversight for the transport sector as well as being a member of the ANZ Region's finance team and supporting this team with key finance activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage detailed and accurate financial data for the Business Unit globally to facilitate timely reporting and enable informed business decisions including analysis of commercial, financial and project performance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally to contribute to effective client relationship management.
• Provide mentoring and support to Infrastructure/Transport Finance team to ensure optimal performance, resourcing, retention, and professional development.
• Active involvement in strategic initiatives and projects to achieve an efficient, balanced and sustainable business.
Suitable applicants will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, governance, and performance management principles.
• Strong financial management expertise, including taxation, compliance, reporting and legal issues.
• Sound knowledge of accounting practices and standards, gained through practical experience, qualification, and personal development.
• Relevant knowledge of contemporary financial management systems and audit processes.
• Sound leadership skills and a proven track record of successful people management.
• Working knowledge of contracts and insurance.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to finance professionals across the business.
• Builds trusting and productive internal and external client relationships.
