Description
Project Canary is a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. Project Canary builds high-fidelity sensors, ingests data from various other technologies and sources, and leverages proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders.

The Field Technician will be part of the Field Operations team handling all efforts around installation and maintenance of Project Canary’s hardware units worldwide. This position will primarily support our clients on the Western Slope of Colorado.

Key Responsibilities
• Install and maintain Canary hardware units
• Monitor data analytics dashboard for unit functionality
• Conduct calibrations and monthly “bump tests” for units required under regulation
• Communicate with customer operations personnel to identify and fix issues, as needed
• Complete required customer safety trainings and comply with safety rules on customer sites
• Collect canister samples from customer sites for lab analysis
• Maintain and track Colorado inventory
• Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance activities
• Log unit downtime for trend analysis

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• 5 - 10 years of field operations experience in oil and gas
• Demonstrated experience with safety procedures and compliance
• Hard work ethic and self-motivation, required
• Ability to work in industrial settings, outdoors, and/or at elevated heights
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening prior to employment; may be tested throughout employment based on client requirements
