Job Description

The Idaho Conservation Corps seeks Conservation Field Staff in Boise, ID. This full-time role involves leading and mentoring young adult conservation crews during an 8-week program focused on outdoor education and natural resource management. Job Overview

The Idaho Conservation Corps (ICC) is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals for the role of Conservation Field Staff. This position involves leading and supervising conservation crews comprised of young adults throughout an immersive 8-week program. Participants will engage in impactful conservation projects while developing essential skills in outdoor education and natural resource management.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a crew of four young adults, responsible for all aspects of project work.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of crew members during work and recreational activities.
• Manage the successful completion of conservation projects while providing training and guidance to participants.
• Facilitate educational programming based on the organization’s curriculum, tracking progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Serve as the main liaison between project sponsors and community members.

Required Skills
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment and effective decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds and navigate rugged terrain.
• Experience in outdoor recreation and conservation work.

Qualifications
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current Wilderness First Aid (or higher) and CPR certification is required.
• A clean driving record for the past three years is necessary.
• Prior recreational or professional experience in outdoor settings is preferred.
• Commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.

Compensation And Benefits
• Daily compensation of (106 during the field season, plus )250 for the duration of staff training.
• A bonus of $2 per day is available for field staff possessing current WFR/EMT/WEMT certification.
