Chart Industries is seeking a Field Service Technician in Monza, Italy, responsible for providing technical support during equipment repair and installation, ensuring safety and quality standards, and improving customer service processes. The role requires technical certification, experience in the oil and gas industry, and excellent communication skills. Frequent travel is necessary. The position is full-time and does not require a specific degree.

What Your DaytoDay Activities Will Be
• Provide technical support during repair and/or installation at customers sites of equipment to ensure quality standards are met and the integrity of the equipment is maintained.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed reporting all safety incidents and near misses on a timely basis and maintaining the goal of zero lost time incidents.
• Suggest improvements to processes and procedures to improve customer response time and accuracy of all data.
• Ensure timely and continuous quality service to the customer by phone or site visits when necessary.
• Work with manager on customer communication.
• Provide technical support to customers and training on equipment use and maintenance.
• Prepare detailed service reports.
• Coordinate contact with all levels of supervision.
• Troubleshoot control systems.
• Read and understand electrical/mechanical/plumbing schematics and use of troubleshooting tools and meters.
• Perform and coordinate quality tests as instructed by work instructions engineering or supervisor to ensure product quality.
• Install equipment including bulk tanks pipe vaporizers skids dosers etc.
Requirements and Preferred Qualifications...
• Technical diploma/Certification required preferably welding related.
• Prior experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role in the oil and gas industry
• Excellent communication skills used in answering customers questions and performing field service.
• Ability to read electrical mechanical and plumbing schematics preferred.
• Work well in teams and independently.
• Read and understand detailed blueprints.
• Fluent knowledge of English.
• Basic understanding of Industrial Controls and PLCs.
• Basic understanding of cryogenic liquids and gases and thermodynamics.
• 3 years of relevant technical background including millwright maintenance engineering and/or field service experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work in changing environmental conditions.
